Our 2017 Wedding Cake Cutting Songs

Sugar, Sugar – The Archies

This is a classic mid tempo choice, for the bride and groom who want a throwback to older times.

Ain’t it Sweet – Phil Cook

A little bit of southern rock, a little bit of country, and a little bit of folk, this song is perfect for the couple who wants a simple, laid back vibe to their day!

Love You Madly – Cake

Astute guests will understand the significance of this song for the cake cutting (one in particular approached me at this wedding and said as much!). A great choice for the “thinking” couple who wants to test the wits of their guests.

Sugar – Maroon 5 (x2)

This has become a classic choice in recent years, for obvious reasons. Upbeat and fun, everybody will enjoy the smooth pop sound of Maroon 5!

Little Apple – Chopstick Brothers

This is an excellent choice for the offbeat bride and groom looking to do something a little different–especially if they love Asian culture!

How Sweet it is – James Taylor

I’m not sure which version I love more–this one, or Michael Buble’s. Either way, this is another classic choice!

Pachelbel Meets U2 – John Schmidt

This gives a bit of a slower, more romantic vibe to the cake cutting; classical, but still gives a nod to the hits of the day.

Say Hey (I Love You) – Michael Franti & Spearhead

This is a super fun choice! It’s upbeat, got a bit of a reggae feel, but guests are sure to recognize this hit.

Let Me Call You Sweetheart – Bing Crosby

This is about as classic as it gets! Bing’s sultry vocals will soothe the ears of your guests while you cut the cake.

Sweet Pea – Amos Lee

This sweet, simple song is a great choice for fans of folk/pop music.

Marry You – Bruno Mars

An upbeat choice for the couple who loves pop, and wants the cake cutting to be a big, exciting affair!

Love on Top – Beyonce

Also for pop fans, this sweet choice is romantic, but with Beyonce’s signature, soulful, sound.

Be Our Guest – Beauty and the Beast Soundtrack

Rounding out our list is a super fun selection for the bride and groom who have always wanted to live out the adventures of their favorite Disney heroes and heroines!
